WHITE GI LAUNDRY CARE

Chemical Trade Store

White Vinegar 1 Litre

A white-vinegar option for an occasional, separate cold-water pre-soak when a white cotton gi has stubborn odour. Rinse the gi thoroughly, then follow with its normal cold wash.

Price: £7.07 · checked 30 September 2026
Support: Laundry pre-soak aid
Best suited to: Occasional odour-control pre-soak for a white gi
Fit: 1 litre bottle; dilute and use only as permitted by the garment care label.

Check the gi care label first and spot-test. Never mix vinegar with chlorine bleach or other cleaners. Do not put vinegar and bicarbonate of soda in the same soak or cycle because they neutralise each other.

WHITE GI LAUNDRY CARE

Arm & Hammer

Pure Baking Soda

Pure bicarbonate of soda that can be used as a laundry booster in a white-gi wash to help deodorise the fabric. Use it only after any vinegar pre-soak has been rinsed away.

Price: £3.99 · checked 30 September 2026
Support: Laundry wash booster
Best suited to: White-gi deodorising alongside normal detergent
Fit: Check the current pack size and follow the packet dosing instructions.

Follow the packet, washing-machine and gi care instructions. Do not add it to a vinegar soak or the same wash cycle; it is a deodorising laundry aid, not a disinfectant.

WOUND DRESSINGS

Elastoplast

Med+ Waterproof XXL Dressings — 5 Pack

Sterile 8 × 10 cm dressings for covering cuts and grazes, with strong adhesion, a flexible waterproof film and a non-stick absorbent pad. Useful in a grappler’s first-aid kit to help shield a cleaned wound from dirt. Other sizes are available.

Price: £4.48 · checked 30 September 2026
Support: Waterproof wound coverage, not joint support
Best suited to: First-aid coverage of cuts and grazes
Fit: Linked XXL option: five 8 × 10 cm dressings. Check pad size and choose coverage that seals around the wound.

Apply without stretching to clean, dry surrounding skin and replace if wet, dirty or loose. Adhesion during vigorous grappling is not guaranteed. A dressing does not treat infection or clear you to train: stop for bleeding, exposed wounds or suspected skin infection and seek advice.
